October 15, 2024 (Mettler-Toledo release) — Mettler-Toledo Product Inspection Group will present a variety of inspection systems in booth S-2939 at Pack Expo, being held at the McCormick Place in Chicago, November 3 – 6, 2024. New combination systems, x-ray inspection systems and more will be on exhibit for the first time alongside other Mettler-Toledo x-ray systems, metal detectors, vision systems and checkweighers for bulk and packaged food and pharmaceutical products.
"Processors and packers are facing tightening profit margins due to rising supply and labor costs. Here at Mettler-Toledo, we're responding by continuously updating our equipment portfolio to offer customers more production flexibility and upgrades for installed systems, enabling them to easily adapt as their needs evolve,” said Thomas Koshy, Sales Director at Mettler-Toledo Product Inspection – United States. “Additionally, with the growing trend towards digitalization in packaging operations, companies want to better capture and analyze the data from their operations in order to provide improved visibility and data analysis to make informed decisions. Our inspection systems have long been equipped with 'smart' connectivity and data collection solutions like ProdX, and we’re now placing greater emphasis on helping customers fully leverage the value that they can create by analyzing the data available from our devices."
At Pack Expo, Mettler-Toledo will showcase their new CM (checkweigher and metal detector) and CX35 (checkweigher and x-ray) combination systems, alongside their CV35 (checkweigher and vision) system. With unparalleled flexibility, Mettler-Toledo’s combination systems are available for many budgets and in multiple configurations including an all-in-one checkweigher/vision/x-ray/metal detector system that provides comprehensive quality control in a single unit.
Another highlight at the show will be Mettler-Toledo’s new X52 dual energy x-ray system, offering advanced detection at an attractive price point, as well as another new x-ray inspection system designed specifically for wide products. The booth will feature several other x-ray systems as well including the X38, X36 with dual lanes, X36 DXD+ and X32.
For metal detection, Mettler-Toledo will present their M31 metal detector on an affordable, simplified conveyor for small and medium-sized packages of dry, wet and frozen products. The exhibit will also feature a Profile Advantage metal detector integrated with a new conveyor designed specifically for the meat/protein industries. Other metal detection systems on display will include a Gravity Flow metal detector equipped ATS, a Profile Advantage pipeline system and the Tablex-PRO that’s integrated with a CroPharm deduster at the show.
Several vision inspection systems from Mettler-Toledo will be on exhibit including the newly integrated V31 with a thermal transfer printer to inspect labels immediately after printing, as well as a V31 inspecting labels of packaged products. Also on display will be the V35 vision system for high-speed inspection of round containers and the V57 for contamination detection and formation inspections of rigid plastic containers.
Additionally, Mettler-Toledo will showcase their C35 washdown checkweigher and C31StandardLine checkweigher. Designed for harsh environments, the C35 offers high-precision weighing at fast speeds with full IP69 rating, making it resistant to caustic detergents and high-pressure cleaning. The cost-effective C31 is suitable for a wide variety of food and non-food applications in dry and wet environments.
Virtually all systems on exhibit will be equipped with ProdX, Mettler-Toledo's advanced connectivity and data management solution. Based on Industry 4.0 principles of secure machine-to-machine communication, ProdX helps to digitalize food safety compliance, reduce auditing time and more.
During the Pack Expo show, Mettler-Toledo will offer a series of educational presentations that cover a range of topics including the benefits of different types of inspection systems, best practices and more.
