Mettler-Toledo to exhibit product inspection systems at Interphex

March 13, 2025
Equipment on display at stand #2361 will include CV35 combination system and V31 vision inspection system.

March 11, 2025 – Mettler-Toledo Product Inspection Group will display a wide range of industry-leading inspection technologies at Interphex (stand #2361), being held in New York City, April 1-3, 2025. These x-ray, metal detection, checkweighing and vision inspection systems help pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturers and packers maintain product safety, comply with industry regulations and increase operational efficiencies.

“The pharma industry is continuing to shift away from manual data handling, such as printing and batch transferring via USB drives, to fully-integrated digital data management,” said Robert S. Conrad, Sales Director – Pharma at Mettler-Toledo Product Inspection. “Our equipment ensures superior data integrity with complete process accountability and compliance with CFR 21 Part 11 requirements.  We provide seamless connectivity through Fieldbus protocols and standards like OPC UA. Further enhancing Industry 4.0 smart factory networking, our ProdX software improves data visibility and control to help manufacturers achieve complete, consistent and secure information management.”

At Interphex this year, Mettler-Toledo will feature their CV35 combination system, which integrates the C35 AdvancedLine checkweigher with vision inspection technology. This compact solution automatically detects and rejects under- and overweight packages to help ensure compliance with legal weight requirements while reducing product giveaway. The CV35’s vision component verifies that label information, such as printed weight values, is correct to prevent labeling errors.

Also on display will be the V31 vision inspection system with an integrated thermal transfer printer. Inspecting labels immediately after printing, this high-speed system verifies graphics integrity, reads and confirms 1D and 2D codes and checks alphanumeric characters using OCV/OCR tools. By detecting and correcting labeling issues before labels are applied, the V31 helps manufacturers avoid costly recalls and rework.

Regarding x-ray inspection, Mettler-Toledo will showcase the X32 for small- to medium-sized packaged pharmaceuticals. This system detects hard-to-find physical contaminants like glass while performing a variety of product integrity checks. Featuring an intuitive user interface and easy access for cleaning and maintenance, the X32 is available in both single- and multi-lane configurations to accommodate a variety of production needs.

Additionally, Mettler-Toledo will exhibit their Tablex-PRO, a high-performance metal detector for bulk tablets and capsules. Designed for ultra-high sensitivity, the Tablex-PRO features an easy-to-use color touchscreen interface, a failsafe reject mechanism and enhanced noise and vibration immunity for reliable contaminant detection.

All systems on display at Interphex are compatible with Mettler-Toledo’s ProdX™ data management software. This advanced platform allows manufacturers to remotely monitor equipment, collect and analyze production data and help ensure compliance with industry regulations. By providing real-time insights, ProdX enhances product safety and operational efficiency.
