RoboVent opens new manufacturing facility

The relocation expands the company’s manufacturing capabilities to support continued growth.

Detroit, Michigan (RoboVent release) — RoboVent, a Nederman company, celebrated the grand opening of its new manufacturing facility in New Baltimore, Michigan, with a ribbon-cutting event hosted by Connect Macomb on October 10, 2024. As a leader in industrial dust collection and air filtration, RoboVent was previously located in Sterling Heights, Michigan, for nearly 30 years before the relocation. With this move, RoboVent has nearly doubled its facility’s footprint to 89,600 sq ft. to sustain the company’s growth and meet the ongoing needs of its clients.

“We’re excited to welcome everyone to our new headquarters and manufacturing facility in New Baltimore,” says Rick Kreczmer, President of RoboVent. “Our new space better supports our current production needs and gives us room to grow in the future. In turn, this allows us to serve our customers better by facilitating innovation, reducing lead times and enabling us to take on more projects while maintaining our commitment to quality.”

The new facility significantly expands production, assembly, staging and storage space, which will allow RoboVent to accelerate order fulfillment. The new production and assembly area for RoboVent’s dust collectors is more than five times as large as the production area in Sterling Heights; the new building also has more space for completed unit staging and shipping, filter manufacturing and staging, and parts storage. With more production and staging space, RoboVent can build more units at once and get them out the door faster.

The move represents a new chapter for the company, which was founded in 1989 as a small family-owned business serving the metalworking industry. Over the last 35 years, RoboVent has grown into one of the leading industrial air filtration providers in North America, with a strong presence across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The company has expanded its scope far beyond metalworking with solutions for general manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, battery manufacturing, food & beverage, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical production, and other powder & bulk applications. RoboVent was purchased by Swedish-based Nederman, The Clean Air Company, in 2022, giving the company access to new markets and additional expertise.

“Going into this larger facility positions us for long-term growth,” says Frank Cea, Vice President of Growth and Engagement for RoboVent. “As we continue to gain strength in sectors such as food processing, battery manufacturing, and powder and bulk applications, the expanded production space will give us the flexibility and room we need to ramp up operations to meet demand. It’s exciting to experience the growth and see the renewed enthusiasm from the team. Our commitment is to be fast, friendly and world-class, and this new building helps fulfill that promise.”

In addition to growing its footprint in the industrial dust collection and air filtration industry, RoboVent is focused on serving the local community, which is why the company is proud to announce that the relocation to a larger facility will support continued growth in the Detroit area, including new jobs.

“This is an exciting milestone for Nederman and RoboVent,” says Hans Dahlen, Senior Vice President and Head of Division Extraction & Filtration Technology for Nederman. “This move will support the company’s continued growth and enable us to better serve customers across North America with industry-leading clean air solutions.”
