Somerset, NJ (Gericke release) — Process equipment manufacturer Gericke, USA, Somerset, NJ (www.gerickegroup.com), has added a vacuum conveying system to its New Jersey test laboratory. Installed to offer product and material testing that accurately simulates real world process conditions, the new vacuum conveyor system transfers a wide range of powders and bulk solids in a choice of dense phase or dilute phase and in either automated or manual operation. The full-size, fully operating vacuum conveyor may be tested as part of a complete powder handling system integrating companion feeding, mixing, size reduction, and other equipment on hand in the company's testing laboratory.
Suitable for testing chemicals, food ingredients, nutraceuticals, and other dry, bulk materials, the vacuum conveying system uses a vacuum pump to gently draw the material through enclosed piping to a vacuum receiver for discharge into a hopper, drum, or other destination. The powder conveyor features stainless steel construction to simulate sanitary processes and may be custom configured for each test to mimic existing processing lines.
Testing is conducted by fully trained Gericke engineers to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and data integrity. Tests may be viewed live in person or online via live stream.
