Coperion has announced that it will close its manufacturing plant in Salina, Kansas, to streamline the company’s North American operations and improve operational efficiency. According to a report on the local news site KSN.com, the closure will occur in several stages and be completed by the end of 2025. Coperion’s facilities in Whitewater, Wisconsin; Sabetha, Kansas; and Kansas City, Missouri, which manufacture similar products, will increase output to offset the closure. In a statement about the closure, the company noted that its Whitewater and Kansas City facilities feature state-of-the-art test centers and offer customer trials.
“I am confident that streamlining our US operations will enable us to strengthen our support for customers in the Americas and allow us to uphold our commitment to delivering high-quality, innovative solutions,” said Coperion president, Ulrich Bartel, in the statement.
Coperion, a Hillenbrand, Inc. company, is a global manufacturer of processing and handling equipment and systems for the plastics, plastics recycling, chemical, battery, food, pharmaceutical and mineral industries.
