Robert Brakeman | Owner/Director | Sonic Corp
Robert Brakeman is the Owner/Director of Sonic Corp, a manufacturing company in Stratford, CT that specializes in the custom design and fabrication of Inline Blending & Homogenizing Systems. Robert attended Gettysburg College graduating in 1991 with a BA and focus on Business Management & Development. Working 15 years in the company provided on the job learning in the field of industrial and electrical engineering providing invaluable understanding of pumps, flow meters, pressure and temperature instrumentation, PLCs, VFDs and more.
An additional 15 years as Owner/Director afforded intensive experience in and out of processing and manufacturing plants in the chemical and personal care industries. This knowledge has been instrumental in Sonic’s ability to understand and solve various mixing, blending and processing needs and meet the challenges of upstream/downstream requirements. It has also allowed Sonic to curate a solid customer base including companies such as Unilever, P&G, PPG, Knauf, Owens Corning, Dow Corning, DuPont, Buckman, Avery Denison and more.

Shawn has worked in the mixing equipment industry for over 40 years. Previously worked for SMC Corp, supplying Plastic Composite mixing system before joining Littleford Day in 1986. Littleford Day merged with B&P Process Equipment in 2015 to become B&P Littleford. Specializes in Mixing and Vacuum Drying systems and uses this knowledge to consult with clients on how to address processing challenges.
