Concept Life Sciences Group US expansion
The Concept Life Sciences Group, which was created following the acquisition of Peakdale Molecular Limited, Scientific Analysis Laboratories Limited and Resource & Environmental Consultants Limited, has launched its services in the U.S. It offers services to clients in the pharmaceutical, biotech, agrochemical, petrochemical, chemical, food, environmental and consumer industries.
LuminUltra-Microbe Detectives partnership
LuminUltra and Microbe Detectives LLC are partnering to provide the only commercial offering that can measure and monitor microbiological concentration in real-time and also identify nearly 100 percent of microorganisms found in water and in what relative proportion. This information will make clear to water system operators both why control was lost and how to prevent similar future problems. LuminUltra is a New Brunswick, Canada-based innovator in microbiological monitoring and control solutions, and Microbe Detectives LLC is a Wisconsin-based pioneer in applied metagenomics services for water and wastewater systems.
KP Engineering- McDaniel Process acquisition
KP Engineering (KPE) acquired McDaniel Process Engineering Consultants Inc. (MPEC), a chemical engineering consulting and design firm based in Houston, Texas. The acquisition of MPEC will enhance engineering, procurement and construction firm KPE’s expertise in refining, midstream and petrochemical process engineering, particularly fractionation applications. The MPEC team will all be employed by KPE and will work from KPE’s offices in Houston, Texas.
METZ CONNECT marketing representative
METZ CONNECT is now using Brainard-Nielsen Marketing as a representative for METZ CONNECT in Illinois and Wisconsin. METZ CONNECT manufacturers PCB mount terminal blocks, board-to-board connectors, RJ45 jacks, USB ports, industrial Ethernet connection systems including M12 Ethernet, intelligent electronic components and data cabling solutions.
Cemtrex Inc.-Target acquisition
Cemtrex Inc., an industrial and manufacturing solutions company, has acquired German electronics manufacturing company Target. Target focuses on electronic manufacturing services for major German automotive manufacturers, including Tier 1 suppliers in the industry, as well as for industries like telecommunications, industrial goods, luxury consumer products, display technology and other industrial OEMs. This is the second acquisition for Cemtrex in this fiscal year.
Mitutoyo-Northwest Machine Technologies distribution agreement
Mitutoyo America Corporation has entered into an agreement with Northwest Machine Technologies to exclusively distribute and support the Mitutoyo CMM and vision product lines in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and northwest Wisconsin. Northwest is an integrated supplier of machine tools that offers full engineering and maintenance services, as well as a broad line of tooling, accessories, workholding and automated solutions.
Cambridge Engineered Solutions international representatives
Cambridge Engineered Solutions expanded its international presence by adding five new representatives in Australia/New Zealand, Denmark, India, Japan and Romania. Cambridge designs and fabricates metal conveyor belts for companies in food processing, agriculture, packaging and industrial manufacturing. The new representatives are: 6 Sigma Foodtech, India; Taiyo Wire Cloth, Japan; Applied Industrial Technologies, Australia/New Zealand; DK Transporbaand, Denmark/Norway; and Scraba Technik, Romania.

I2O sales director
Water company i2O appointed David Kenny as its European sales director. Kenny, who has almost 20 years of experience in the U.K. water sector and specializes in smart water technologies, joins i2O from TaKaDu, where he was responsible for sales and business development in the U.K. In his new role, David is responsible for expanding the penetration of i2O’s smart water network technologies across Europe.
Biosan director of sales
Biosan LLC hired Joe-Ben Mattos as director of sales in North America. Mattos is a nationally recognized expert on peracetic acid, a powerful sanitizing agent used in multiple industries. He has 20 years of experience in sales and product line management for the industrial safety and pharmacy automation industries. His position at Biosan includes leading sales team members and growing national sales of Biosan peracetic acid.
Brennan Industries executives
Brennan Industries Inc., an international supplier of hydraulic fittings and adapters, recently promoted three executives. Bill Jarrell is now executive vice president; he previously served as vice president of operations and marketing. Previous vice president of sales Brad Rico has been promoted to executive vice president, and previous general manager of corporate Pat DeCapua has been promoted to vice president of corporate and manufacturing.

Honeywell reaches patent record
Honeywell earned 671 patents for new inventions globally during 2015, including 247 in the U.S. Both are records for Honeywell UOP, which has been a developer and licensor of technologies for the petroleum refining, petrochemicals and gas processing industries for more than a century. Almost all of the new patents relate to inventions that more efficiently convert hydrocarbons into transportation fuels and petrochemical products, making better use of the petroleum and natural gas feedstocks while consuming less energy.
Schneider Electric supply chain ranking
Schneider Electric was named No. 18 in the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 for 2016. The rankings identify supply chain leaders and highlight their best practices for heads of supply chain and strategy organizations, selecting based on business performance and opinion. Last year the energy management and automation company was No. 34 in the rankings. The Top 25 is selected from among a master list of companies on the Fortune Global 500 and Global 2000 annual rankings.
